La vraie malédiction du vampire se trouve dans le fait de n'appartenir à aucun monde : il existe sans avoir de reflet ; il est immortel et désire la mort mais, en tant qu'être conscient (contrairement au zombie), il la craint. Osculum Serpentis partage cette tragédie dans The curse of the Vampyre, un E.P. bien plus ambiant, livide, morbide mais aussi... poétique. La figure du vampire finit par nous toucher — peut-être parce que nous sommes comme lui des ambassadeurs involontaires de la mort...

What was the first impression of this album for me ? Well, it is dark, heavy and twisted. Pure evil as it is said. Very heavy and dark album by K.F.R and it is in French school and tradition. Vocals are like of a dying man on this one. Dark ambient, that goes along with it, makes it more dark and sinister. If you are scared easily don't even go for this one, but for a trve black metal fan this is A MUST HAVE album. No favourite tracks because you have to listen to it in whole to understand it.
